WHAT IS TUMBLEBOOKLIBRARY?
TumbleBooks are animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they’ll love. TumbleBooks are created by taking existing picture books, adding animation, sound, music and narration to produce an electronic picture book which you can read, or have read to you. TBL also includes National Geographic videos and games. With a school licence, teachers and students have access to the Common Core Portal, quizzes and teacher materials/lesson plans!
HOW DOES TUMBLEBOOKLIBRARY WORK?
The TBL collection is accessed online from every computer in your school or library with Internet connection, or from home through a direct link on your school or library website. Users can also access TBL from any reading tablet that has Flash Adobe 8.0+ and an internet connection such as Kindle Fire, Colour Nook & some Android smart phones. For customers using mobile devices that do not support Flash Player (iPad, iPhone and Android), we have implemented an automatic re-direct that automatically takes you to TumbleMobile. If you find yourself on the Flash site, however, simply choose “Mobile” from the drop down menu at the top right corner and click “Go”.
DO I NEED A SPECIAL SOFTWARE OR APP TO VIEW TUMBLEBOOKS? ARE THE EBOOKS DOWNLOADED?
All you need is the Flash plug-in which is preloaded on most computers and reading tablets. If you are unable to view the TumbleBooks, you can download the plug-in for FREE at www.adobe.com/go/getFlashPlayer. For mobile users (iPad, iPhone and Android) or any device that does not support Flash, our site will automatically redirect you to our “iPad& Mobile Device” site when you log in. However if you are not automatically redirected, simply choose “Mobile” from the drop down menu at the top right corner and click “Go”. All of our content is streamed, not downloaded, so it never takes up space!
